Allan MacLean is a senior scientist at Rank Xerox Research Centre in Cambridge, England; he has a background in psychology and HCI, and his current research focuses on the support of work processes in distributed environments. Richard Young is a cognitive scientist with interests in human-computer interaction and the modeling of human cognition; he is a Research Scientist at the UK Medical Research Council's Applied Psychology Unit, Cambridge. Victoria Bellotti is a cognitive ergonomist studying techniques and applications for supporting collaborative and remote work and design; she is a senior scientist in the Advanced Technologies Group at Apple Computer. Thomas Moran is a cognitive/computer scientist interested in human-computer interaction and collaborative system design, with an emphasis on supporting informal intellectual work practices; he is Principal Scientist and Manager of the Collaborative Systems Area at the Xerox Palo Alto Research Center.
