Description
Background. This essay is based on a body of scholarship in fundamentals of place identity for architectural/digital hybrid environments. Much of that work will appear in book form, the working title for which is Digital Ground: Design, Environmental Knowing, and Ubiquitous Computing.
Acknowledgments. At Carnegie Mellon, Bridget Johnson collaborated on this typology, and an experimental design course explored some of the crossovers suggested in this essay.
